Thanksgiving: College Style

A few friends and I came to the conclusion that since we all ought to know how to cook by now (this being our 4+ year in college), we decided to have a faux-Thanksgiving dinner. We had all the traditional components of this dinner, except chicken instead of turkey. Our rational for this was that we didn't want to get all "turkey-ed" out...but I think it was so that we could all be able to stay up and party (ha ha).

This first picture. Kerianna, Matt and I. We promised Matt we wouldn't post this on facebook...but I never said that I wouldn't post it on my blog!

Now I have this bad habit... I like to pick at desserts. Jo just happened to snap the picture right when I took off my small bit. But do you see that fabulous pumpkin pie action?? That's right. I made both of them.

More Halloween, Tickets and a new Midnight Adventure!

I know it is time for an update when I can't remember what I last wrote on this blog. So here we go.

Before Kerianna and I went to Matt's house for Halloween we snapped a few photos in our apartment with our inherited "broken" glassware from the chemistry department (which we both work for). This shot is just us being glam-crazy scientists.

Now for our smart poses. As you can tell we obviously have different definitions of smart poses. Although that is okay, because apparently, Kerianna and I have different definitions about A LOT of things!

Going back to the last post, to refresh your memory, we camped out to try and get BYU/UTAH tickets. A game that was AMAZING! I am so glad that the U pulled it out in the end this year. 5 interceptions and one fumble recovery...man, I love my football team. But getting back to the picture, below is a shot of Kerianna. Now, I didn't realize how acclimated I am to the cold until I met so many people from warm states. This shot is Kerianna in a grand total of 3 coats plus who knows how many layers underneath. She was still freezing cold, so I loaned her my coat. It really wasn't that cold--by our Utahn standards though. Ha ha.

In order to keep warm at the campout, we literally took every blanket in our and the boys' apt. Well, every blanket except for the one of my bed. So when we got back, I let Kerianna borrow all of my bedding so that she could take a nap in her room comfortably. I told Kerianna to fake sleeping in this picture....obviously, she is a very silly sleeper.

Okay...I am posting this next picture as a favor to many people, not for my own desire. In order to keep warm throughout the night, I wore a beanie that I crocheted last year. However, my hair and beanies = bad hat hair, very quickly. This shot is basically this hat hair. Man. It is pretty bad.

Kerianna and her birthday buddy, Matt!

And now for the NEW UPDATE! I recently dragged Kerianna on a midnight sugar run--as sometimes that is what we women need to make us happy. First, may I just say that it is sad when only 1 local grocery store is open after midnight. And here I am thinking that SLC is the party city... Anyways, we ended up having a lot of fun at the store during our acquisition for the sugar.

What should we find, first, but bad spelling. Anyone want a SURGAR cookie?

Being cheap college students, we always check out the clearance items, and what should we find on our adventure but FISHLETS! Sounds as good as spam... let me tell you!

Okay, this store had a TON of Christmas stuff up already. Which is somewhat interesting, as it seems like it was just Halloween. But anyways, as you can see, when it comes between a pen and Kerianna....the pen will win.

Okay, after we got our sugar: raspberry twirls, we wanted a really fun shot of both of us in the store. Well, the clerk that we asked to take our picture apparently didn't know how to work a camera, therefore we ended up taking this shot in the parking lot. Not the greatest, but it works.

Us enjoying our sugar in our apt. Doesn't it look tasty?

Me and my half-matched self. At least my pajama bottoms match my cup, right? I did that just for you Kerianna.

In our apt, we have a white board on our fridge that we write funny messages. This particular stream of messages will always remain a favorite.

My door! Boo-yah! Actually, if you can note, there is a list on my door of Kerianna's Agenda:
1) Make snow angels for 2 hours. 2) Go Iceskating. 3) Eat a whole roll of TollHouse cookie dough as fast as we can. 4) Snuggle.

And lastly, a quick note to say that I GRADUATE in a month. I am so excited. After all this work, I will finally have my bachelor's. Woo hoo!

Halloween and BYU/Utah Tickets

This year for Halloween, being the cheap college student that I am, I went as a scientist. (i.e. I didn't have a costume, so I just threw the lab coat on and called it good!). Kerianna and I both were matching science nerds. We went over to my friend Matt's house (a different Matt from the one previously mentioned on this blog...) and enjoyed the spooky holiday. It was a lot of fun. See pictures below!

Matt lives in Bluffdale, which is right next to Riverton. So this is us being in two places at once! Ha ha!
Matt made this fun swing in his gorgeous backyard!

Ahhh!
Roomates!

Also, new happenings in my life include camping out for BYU/Utah football tickets. We arrived at the stadium at about 6 PM Friday night and pulled the very cold all-nighter to see if we could get tickets. In the end, we could have gotten free standing tickets but would have had to pay quite a bit of money to get a seat (the Ticketing office decided to change their policy right before we were at the ticket office!). Due to this change, we decided that the tickets weren't really worth it. Though it sucks that we waited that long and didn't get tickets, it was a good experience none the less (one I probably won't ever relive!).

Look at all the people! There was probably near 3,000 people there!
The very cold three-some! We kept each other warm throughout the long night!

The Beauty of Google Images

So I was perusing some blogs the other night and came across this blog and thought that the pictures were rather fun to look at.
